The ICCNE Presents an Irish Film Series
Ireland has a great history and passion for film and we want to present to you some of the most popular and distinguished films to come out of Ireland during the 20th century.
We will be showing one movie once a month on the third Friday of every month.
Come join us for only $4 (2009 ICCNE Members pay $2) and feel free to grab a drink in the pub during the movie.
On Friday, January 15, 2010 we are screening The Matchmaker the romantic comedy starring Janeane Garofalo, David O'Hara and Boston's own Denis Leary .
Plot Summary: "Marcy, a worker in the reelection campaign of bumbling Senator John McGlory, is sent to Ireland on a quest to find the Irish ancestry of Sen. McGlory, to help him win the Irish vote. But when Marcy arrives in the small village of Ballinagra, she finds herself in the middle of a matchmaking festival, and the local matchmaker is determined to pair her off with one of the local bachelors". This Film is rated R.
The Movie begins at 7:30pm. Feel free to come early and have a pint and a bite to eat in our Irish Pub.
