The Irish Cultural Centre, on Saturday February 13, 2010 will take a look back with a presentation on the Irish Famine by our host Seamus Mulligan.
This presentation is the second in our Look Back Series and we will be showing the historical Irish Drama The Hanging Gale. Plot Summary: "The four brothers of the Phelan family battle to save their farm and their family from the ravages of the Irish Potato Famine in 1846, and from an English land agent who takes a dislike to them."
The evening will begin at 4:30pm showing the first segment of The Hanging Gale, followed by cocktails and discussion, an Irish buffet dinner and a presentation by our host Seamus Mulligan. We will then view the second segment of The Hanging Gale.
