Beginner Children’s Irish Step Dancing With The HPK Academy

A fun filled exploration of the foundations of traditional step dancing with the Harney Pender Keady Academy of Irish Dance!

The Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston is starting a Beginner Irish Step Dancing program this September, and it will run for an introductory 6-week session. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some prior dance experience, this program will be a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditional and lively world of Irish dancing. Irish Step Dancing is known for its intricate footwork, rhythmic movements, and rich cultural heritage.

During the 6-week session, you will have the chance to learn the basic steps, techniques, and dances that form the foundation of Irish Step Dancing. The classes will be led by experienced and passionate instructors who are eager to share their knowledge and love for this traditional dance form.

Not only will you be learning a new skill, but you’ll also be part of the vibrant Irish community in the Greater Boston area. The Irish Cultural Centre offers a warm and welcoming environment, providing a great opportunity to make new friends and embrace the Irish culture.

The 6 week session will be followed by a fall mini recital at the Irish Cultural Centre where dancers will show off their newly learned skills to family and friends. A full winter recital will take place in December.

$60 tuition per dancer includes 6 sessions  | 45 minute Classes | Allison Crawford, TCRG | Tuesdays, 3:45-4:30pm, to begin 9/12/23 (6 classes) | Ages 4 and up
