Irish Traditional Music Sessions at the Irish Cultural Centre
The Irish Cultural Centre has been the home of traditional Irish Music in Greater Boston for many years, with various weekly and monthly traditional Irish music sessions taking place in our pub, tent, patio and cottage year round.
We have an open Irish session in our Irish pub from 7-9pm, hosted by a variety of local musicians such as Joey Abarta, Colm Gannon, Seamus Noonan, Nathan Gourley and friends this sessions is fast becoming one of Greater Boston’s liveliest destinations for a ‘Trad Thursday’.
Friday nights from about 6pm we have an open Irish music session which is hosted by our ‘Friday night session group’. This group of about 25 musicians have been coming together to play at the Irish Cultural Centre for a number of years. They love to move around with the seasons and depending on when you come, you’ll find them playing in the Adare room, the Marquee Tent, our Outdoor Patio and sometimes inside in the Irish pub.
Saturday nights are hosted by our very own Aoife Griffin, David Healy and friends! Since the reopening of our Irish pub following a renovation in early 2022, Aoife & David have been playing some of Boston’s best Irish music on site every single Saturday from 6-8pm. Both young musicians have recently relocated to Boston and their lively style of playing has built a strong following in the greater Boston area but especially in our Irish pub.
